Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Fivefold. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them and our privacy policy. If you use Fivefold for a school, you confirm you may accept these terms for that use.

You must be 13 or older to create an account on your own. Students under 13 may use Fivefold only by joining a class with a teacher's code, as part of their school's program. When a school or district signs a separate agreement with us, that agreement controls where it differs from these terms.

• Give accurate information and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One account is for one person. Teacher accounts can be signed in on 2 devices at a time and student accounts on 3; signing in on another device signs out the oldest session.
• Teachers are responsible for who they invite to their classes and for removing students who should no longer have access.
• Tell us at support@fivefoldprep.com if you think someone else is using your account.

• Free use. Anyone with an account can use Unit 1 of every course. Students in a class covered by a paid plan use that class's courses at no cost to them.
• Classroom plans are priced per course, by the number of students taking the course, as shown on the pricing page. Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled. You can change courses or class size at any time; changes are prorated.
• Free trial. A new Classroom plan starts with a 14-day trial. A card is required. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the plan starts and your card is charged. There is one trial per teacher account and per card. Answer-key views stay locked during the trial.
• Purchase orders. On school year and yearly plans you can pay by invoice. The plan starts right away and the invoice is due in 30 days. If it is not paid, we may suspend the plan after telling you.
• Canceling. Cancel any time from Billing. The plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and then licensed content locks. Monthly plans can be paused for the summer instead.
• Prices and taxes. Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax where it applies. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change affects your renewal.
• Refunds. Payments are not refundable except where the law requires, or where we agree in writing. If you think you were charged by mistake, write to us and we will look into it.

The lessons, study guides, questions, explanations, rubrics, and other course material in Fivefold belong to us or our licensors. While you have access, you may use them for your own study or, as a teacher, with the students in your classes.

You may not:

• copy, download, scrape, print, photograph, or export course content in bulk, or rebuild it elsewhere;
• share answer keys, questions, or your login outside your class;
• remove or hide watermarks, or get around copy protection, rate limits, or session limits;
• sell, sublicense, or publish course content, or use it to train AI models.

Pages show a watermark with the viewer's account and the date. We log content access to enforce these limits and may suspend accounts that break them.

You own what you create: your answers and essays, and, for teachers, the units, lessons, and questions you write. You give us permission to store, process, and display it only as needed to run the service for you and your classes, including showing student work to their teachers and sending it to AI providers for the features you use.

Teachers can export the content they wrote at any time. Official course content is not included in exports.

• AI scoring and feedback are study aids. They can be wrong. Teachers decide any grade that counts.
• The tutor is for learning. It gives hints before answers and will not write graded work for a student. Using it to cheat on graded work breaks these terms.
• Predicted AP scores are estimates from practice in Fivefold. They are not a promise of any exam result.
• AI features use credits with monthly allowances as described on the pricing page. Unused allowance does not roll over; purchased credits do not expire while the account exists.

• Do not attack, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the service, or access accounts or data that are not yours.
• Do not post or send anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, or sexual, including in custom content or messages to the tutor.
• Do not impersonate a teacher, a school, or another person.

AP and Advanced Placement are trademarks registered by the College Board, which is not affiliated with, and does not endorse, Fivefold. Our course content is original and follows the published course frameworks; it is not official College Board material.

You can stop using Fivefold and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or is used to copy content; when we can, we warn you first and tell you why. Sections that by their nature should continue (content ownership, disclaimers, limits of liability) survive after an account ends.

We work hard to keep course content accurate and the service available, but we provide Fivefold as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not guarantee any exam score.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be waived by law.

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will post it here and email teachers at least 30 days before it takes effect; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms. Questions go to support@fivefoldprep.com.
